Barry and Amy first crossed paths during Amy's 8th grade year and Barry's 9th grade year. They met through a group of friends after Amy had just moved to Winston-Salem.
Amy took this photo of Barry and Evan Everhart the winter that they met.
Their lives went different directions, but they each maintained a close relationship with their good friend Evan. Evan would end up being the tie that linked these two back together during one of Barry's visits home to Winston.
